Biography

Dr. J. John Love Joy is Associate Professor of English and Dean - School of Languages and Culture at St. Joseph?s College, Trichy, Tamil Nadu. He has an M.A. in English Language and Literature from Loyola College, Chennai; a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching English (PGDTE) and M.Phil. from English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad; and a Ph.D. in English Language Teaching from Madras University, Chennai. In a career spanning over two decades, he - worked as a lecturer at Loyola College, Chennai; - was a Language Trainer for General Managers at Hyundai Motors, Chennai; - served as Additional Dean of IQAC; - authored, co-authored and co-edited 8 books on English Language Teaching and Soft Skills; - was the Editor-in-chief of Josephite, the College Annual Magazine; - served as the university representative and expert member on various Boards of Studies; - published research articles in Scopus-indexed journals; - produced 4 PhD scholars and adjudicated PhD Theses; - conducted nearly 350 one-day workshops for teachers and administrators across India.
