Biography

Dr. Egbert Selwin Rose earned his PhD in Botany from Bharathidasan University. He is currently working as Associate Professor of Botany. Prior to join St.Joseph's College, Dr. Egbert Selwin Rose has been serving as Assistant Professor in Loyola College, Chennai. His teaching and research career spanning over 26 years. He is specialised in an array of biological sciences viz. Angiosperm taxonomy, Plant Physiology, Molecular Biology etc. Currently his area of research interests are plant microbe interaction (mycorrhiza and endophytes) and plant taxonomy. He has published many scientific papers in national and international peer reviewed journals and conference-proceedings. He has been an examiner and evaluator for MPhil and PhD thesis. He has conducted training workshops and addressed/chaired several seminars/conferences. Also, he performed administrative duties on various college and departmental committees.
